本文记述库蚊属库状蚊亚属一新种——刺端库蚊,新种Culez(Culiciomyia) spiculostylussp.nov.。本新种阳茎侧板背角短粗而端钝,密布小齿并形成明显的齿簇为其独具特征。模式标本系1985年8月11日采自云南省西双版纳勐腊县新公社一积水坑,存放于贵阳医学院生物学教研室。
Culex (Culieiomyia) spiculostylus sp. nov.The new species, Culex (Culieiomyia) spiculostylus, was collected in a accumulated water from Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province. It is evidently closely related to javanensis Bonne-we-pster (1934), harrisoni Sirivanakarn (1977), shebbearei Barraud (1924), bailyi Barraud 1934, kyo-toyensis Yamaguti and Lacasse (1952) and sasai Kano, Nitahara and Awaya (1954), falls into a distinct species group or complex. The new species can he readily separated from all other related speies mentoned above in the male genitalia by the lateral plate of phallosome, with a series of very weak denticles towards apex and the details of the subapical lobe and with several spi-culate on basal half of distimere.The distimere of male genitalia of new species is very similar to the javanensis, but can be distinguished by the completely dark abdominal terga and the stronger siphonal tufts of the latter. The larva closely resemble that of Kyotoyensis, but striking morphological diferences are present in adult characters, as shown in the table below.Type specimens: Holotype ♂, allotype ♀, paratypes 2♂♂, 6♀♀, 1 larval skin, among the larval skin were obtained after isolated cultures in the laboratory. All type specimens were collected from Mengla Xian of Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province and are deposited in the Biology Department of the Guiyang Medical College. Their breeding habitat was a accumulated water at the foot of a hill in a forest.
