The change of superoxide anion radical level in red blood cells of crowd in a long term contact with organic solvents has been measured by using SOD as a molecular prbe. The result shows that there is significant difference in O - 2 level and SOD activity between the experiment group and control group. It suggests that increasing of superoxide anion radical and reducing of SOD activity play and important role in the poisoning effect of the organic solvents.
