摘要
Aortoesophageal fistula (AOF) is a rare(0.01%-0.08%), but life threatening cause of upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage. Early diagnosis and surgical intervention are mandatory for survival. We report a case of an aortoesophageal fistula due to a descending aortic pseudoaneurysm and review the causes, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment of this uncommon but often fatal cause of upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage.
