摘要
语言作为一种社会现象,与人类社会的发展变迁关系密切。英语词汇、谚语中保留有很多西方轻视和压迫妇女的痕迹。这一性别歧视近些年来越来越引起女权主义者的不满和抗争。从社会心理语言学角度探讨英语中性别歧视语存在的诸多表现及其产生的历史渊源,女权运动对性别歧视语的影响,号召人们特别是女性正确地认识和理解语言中的性别差异,并通过不断地努力来逐步改变这一不合理的现象。
As a social phenomenon, language has a very close relationship with the development and changes of human society. There are many traces left in situations of women in the This article discusses this English vocabulary west. This sexism has aroused more and phenomenon and its historical origins of and proverbs to show the belittled and oppressed more discontentment and opposition of feminists. the sexism language in English from the angle of social psychological linguistics, and then goes to talk about the influence of woman＇s liberation movement towards sexism language. From this, people especially women are called to have a correct understanding on the gender differences in language and then try to change this unreasonable phenomenon through continual endeavor gradually.
