糖尿病状态下,过量的活性氧簇可以攻击DNA产生8.羟基脱氧鸟苷(8-OHdG),因而可以将8-OHdG作为一种反映糖尿病DNA氧化损伤的指标。多项研究发现糖尿病及糖尿病肾病、糖尿病视网膜病变、糖尿病性心肌病、糖尿病神经病变等并发症中8-OHdG水平增加。8-OHG是8.OHdG的代谢产物,而研究证实糖尿病时它的水平也是增加的。利用高压液相、酶联免疫吸附法(ELISA)、毛细管区带电泳等可以检测8-OHdG。
Overdose reactive oxygen species can attack DNA to generate 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine(8-OHdG) in diabetes, so it could be as a biomarker for oxidative DNA damage. Some studies suggest that the levels of 8-OHdG are increased in diabetes and diabetic complications such as diabetic nephropathy, retinopathy, cardiomyopathy and neuropathy. The level of 8-hydroxyguanine (8-OHG), a free base of 8-OHdG,is increased in diabetes, too. Several methods can be used to detect 8-OHdG such as high performance liquid chromatography-electrochemical detection, ELISA,and capillary zone electrophoresis.
