摘要
要准确地翻译习语,就要深入了解原语和目的语的文化背景。正确把握英汉文化的差异,对于提高翻译质量大为有益。本文试探讨中英不同文化中诸多因素对于习语翻译的影响,并提出如何采用灵活的翻译方式处理文化差异的影响。
Translating English Idioms into Chinese or translating Chinese idioms into English can＇t be the word tO WOrd translation but concerning the influence of culture factors. The accurate translation of idioms should reflect the cultural background. The thesis attempts to make an intercultural study of idioms to track down the similarities and differences in cultural aspects and cultural features expressed in idioms, and then sum up flexible approaches to the translation of idioms.
