在数量性状基因定位研究中,重组自交系是一种比较有用的群体。但建立一个重组自交系群体通常是很费时的。本文讨论了就某一物种的特定杂交组合而言,建立一个重组自交系群体所需的自交代数,并提出了估计所需自交代数的方法。数值分析表明,即使将每条染色体当作1个分离单位的话,建立一个重组自交系群体所需的自交代数也比通常认为的来得多(例如,对于一个具有10对同源染色体的物种而言,至少需要自交11代)。因此。
The population of recombinant inbred lines (RIL) is useful for the mapping of quantitative trait loci. But producing an RIL population usually takes a long time. In this paper, the number of selfings required to produce an RIL population with regard to a specific cross combination of a species is discussed and a method for estimating the required number of selfings is proposed. It is shown that more selfings are required than usually thought (e.[KG-4〗g.[KG-4〗, at least 11 selfings are required for a species with 10 pairs of homologous chromosomes) even in the case when a chromosome instead of a locus is taken as the unit of segregation. Therefore, attention should be paid to that in practical studies.
