摘要
本文介绍了国外环境学科与教育的起源及其发展过程,以及美国的环境学科现状和演化出的三类环境工程本科教育模式。结合中国环境学科教育的现状和发展趋势,提出环境学科的发展和演变必须适应社会的需要,强化本科教育的基础地位,设立本科教育的准入条件和评估机制,建立一个供环境学科教师和研究与工程人员定期交流和讨论的开放平台,以及加强环境道德教育等建议。
The establishment and development of undergraduate education of environmental science and engineering in the world were described, and the current status and three modes of undergraduate education of environmental engineering in the United States of America were discussed. Current status and trends of future development of undergraduate education of environmental science and engineering in China were also discussed. Consequently, measures and suggestions have been proposed to better meet the challenges and needs for the undergraduate education in China. These measures and suggestions include the adaptation of the undergraduate education to the needs of the society, the emphasizing of the importance of the undergraduate education, the establishment of criteria for setting up and accrediting an undergraduate education of environmental engineering, the introducing of a forum accessible to professors and engineers in environmental science and engineering to communicate periodically, and the stressing the education of environmental ethics.
