The Influence of Water in Lubricating Oil on the Tribological Characteristics of Silicon Nitride Ceramics

摘要 本文对氮化硅陶瓷(Si_3N_4)在含水润滑油中的摩擦学性能进行了试验研究。结果表明,在本试验条件下,润滑油的含水量越大,氮化硅陶瓷的摩擦系数越高,磨损量也越大。 The tribological characteristics of silicon nitride ceramics lubricated by water-containing lubricating oil were studied in this paper. The author indicated that water reacted chemically with substances on the friction surface and form hydroxycompounds, which were loosely bound with silicon nitride matrix, and were worn off easily under the action of higher pressure. In addition, the adsorption of water also decrease the lubricating ability of the oil, therefore, the more water content is the higher friction coefficient and wear of the ceramics.
