摘要
大学的主要职能在于人才培养、知识创新和服务社会,以教育部本科教学工作水平评估为主线,通过全面回顾西安建筑科技大学的建设与发展历程,深刻阐述了办一所什么样的大学?怎样办好大学?培养什么样的人?如何培养人等高等教育的本源性问题,重点强调了在综合考虑质量、规模、结构、效益的前提下,科学制定学校的发展定位、办学目标与服务面向,突出办学特色是高校持续快速发展的关键,全面论述了“教育以质量为本,以学生为主体;办学以人才为本,以教师为主体”的办学理念是高校生生不息,并立于不败之地的根本,系统阐述了把好“招好生,育好才,就好业”“三点一线”的培养思路,坚持“养成”与“启发”并重的教育模式,强化以质量监控为主线的过程控制,着力培养学生的主动创新意识和自我教育管理的能力,是高校保证教育教学质量,全面培养德、智、体、美全面发展的社会主义事业合格建设者和可靠接班人的内在要求和关键所在.
As an institutiow of higher learning university education aims preparing future builders, renovat knowledge and serving the society. Centering around the undergraduate teaching assessment by the Ministry of Education, with an overall review of the construction and development of XAUAT, the present thesis attempts to probe into the effective means to build a university to the full advantage with a focus upon the scientific orientation on the basis of a comprehensive consideration of such elements as quality, size, structure and efficiency. It insists that the sustainable development of a university lies in its distinguishing features with a systematic discussion on the idea that the fundamental factor for the survival and sustenance of a university relies upon the notion of student-centeredness and quality-orientation. It thoroughly explores into the significance of strict enrollment and conscientious training for st.udents＇ future career. It emphasizes that equal importance is to be attached to both ＂cultivation＂ and ＂enlightenment＂ with a stress on the process control in quality assurance. It points out that the key to the preparation of morally, intellectually, physically and aesthetically qualified builders and the assurance of education quality is but the cultivation of students＇ awareness of innovation and self-discipline.
