In application of TMS320VC5416, it often needs to communicate with the MCU. The article discusses bow to expand IMS320VC5416＇s Multi-channel Buffered Serial Port（McBSP） to an asynchronous serial port, then to communicate with the 89C51 in an asynchronous way. Further more, it explains in detail bow to specify the communication protocol and bow to keep the speed matching between both sides.
