摘要 要在模拟和移动通讯网中传输数字图象,首先必须对图象实行高比率的压缩本文讨论了小波变换的特征机理,建立了以小波变换为基础的图象压缩软件模拟系统,并同标准JPEG的图象压缩方法做了对比实验。结果证明:在高压缩比时,基于小波变换压缩的重建图象PSDN和重建图象质量都明显地优于传统的DCT压缩方法。 Image compression at high ratios is essential for applications such as image transmission and services on analog and mobile networks. This paper gives a brief overview of the possibilities and characteristics of image compression techniques based on Wavelet Transform (WT). We have estimated the performance of available coding software based on WT in comparison with coding result based on the JPEG standard. The conclusions taken from the obtained results and approximations will give an approach of the possibilities of WT based coding techniques in future applications.
