摘要
本文实现了一个基于小波变换的静止图象压缩系统。包括以下工作:用引入了小波包思想的小波变换将图象分解到一个完备的多分辨的空间上去,对系数做标量量化,利用小波变换的方向性进行扫描和游程编码,之后对低频部分作ADPCM编码,最后,系统的输出是嵌入式的。实验结果表明,对于静止图象的压缩。
In this paper,we present a still image compression system based on wavelet transform,which includes following parts Wavelet transform with better frequency resolution is applied to map image into a complete multiresolution space The coefficients are scalar quantitized,scanned and runlength coded in the proper direction Adaptive arithmetic coding,Fix length HUFFMAN coding and ADPCM methods are employed Finally,the resultiing bitstream is output in an embedded fashion Experiments suggest that our system is superior to JPEG to a certain degree
