摘要
价值观是人的思想观念,是文化中最深层的部分。它是人们在社会化的过程中逐渐获得并形成的。中美两国文化中基本价值观的差异表现在诸多方面,譬如中国传统文化中的群体取向、稳中求发展和重义轻利;美国社会文化中的个人主义、讲求竞争与金钱至上等等。认识中美文化中不同价值观,旨在促进中美两国人民对彼此文化的理解和认同。
Values are ideological concept, which underlie cultural patterns, and are gained and formed by the people in the process of socialization. The difference of primary values between the Chinese and American culture shows in several aspects, such as groupism, developing in stability, stressing morality and belittling interest in the traditional Chinese culture; and individualism, striving for competition, and money above everything else in the social American culture. Acknowledging the different values in the traditional Chinese culture and social American culture aims at promoting the understanding of each other＇s culture by both American and Chinese people.
