CORRELATION BETWEEN SULPHATE REDUCTION BACTERIA (SRB) AND THE CORROSION OF STEELS IN SEA BOTTOM SEDIMENTS

摘要 Sulphute Reduction Bacteria (SRB) play a important rate in the corrosion of steels in sea bottom sediments, in which the content of SRB will affect the corrosion rate of steels. An investigation of SRB content and the corrosion rates of steels in the sea bottom sediments of liaodong Bay and Yellow River Mouth area was conducted in this paper. Sulphute Reduction Bacteria (SRB) play a important rate in the corrosion of steels in sea bottom sediments, in which the content of SRB will affect the corrosion rate of steels.
