摘要
B样条曲线的递归升阶方法,即Cohen-Lyche-Schumaker算法,可以应用于端点插值B样条曲线的升阶问题。利用Marsden恒等式,在对Cohen、Lyche和Schumaker在JofApproximationTheory,1986年,第46卷170页所提出的B样条递归升阶方法进行分析研究的基础上,给出了它的简化证明。这对于B样条曲线升阶方法的学习、运用和研究都将起到推动作用。指出,Cohen-Lyche-Schumaker算法只能用于端点插值B样条曲线的升阶问题。当把它用于更一般的B样条曲线的升阶时,它将出现错误。
The recursive degree raising algorithm presented by Cohen, Lyche and Schumaker can be used for degree raising of endpoint interpolating B spline curves (in: Journal of Approximation Theory, 1986, vol.46, pp 170 ̄181). Using the Marsden identity, this paper gives its simpler proof than Cohen, Lyche and Schumaker's one. In addition, the paper points out a mistake in the conventional theory for degree raising of B spline curves, that is, Cohen, Lyche and Schumaker' algorithms may get incorrect results when used for uniform B spline curves or general nonuniform B spline ones except endpoint interpolating B spline curves.
