The article compares the grey pig iron with the cast steel at aspects of the machine performance, process performance, shock-absorbing performance, wearability, gap sensitivity, etc., and describes their advantage and disadvantage. In conclusion, they all satisfy the demands of machine performance for the wheels of transfer car, but the grey pig iron is the best choice because of its brief process, lower cost.
