Objective To evaluate the preciseness of 3D-CTA with volume rendering for the dignosis of multiple intracranial aneurysms. Method The axial source CT images were obtained by using helical CT scanning. By means of volume rendering technique and aided by multiplanar reformation, the reconstruction 3D- CTA imaging was well done. Results In the last year, 10 patients were diagnosed multiple intracranial aneurysms by 3D-CTA and found total 24 aneurysms, including 10 small aneurysms (≤ 5 mm). Three- dimensional CT angiography with volume rendering clearly demonstrated aneurysm and provided useful information concerning the site, shape, size and the spatial relationship to the surrounding vessels and bone anatomy. Conclusions Three-dimensional CT angiography with volume rendering is a quick, reliable, and relative noninvasive diagnostic tool for multiple intracranial aneurysms. It delineates the detail of aneurysmal morphology, and it can provide useful information for planning microsurgical approaches.
