摘要
本文提出了复频移(CFS)法实现图象子带编码的新方案,并在理论和实验两方面证明了CFS法图像子带编码的可行性和优越性。 在用计算机模拟实现CFS法和QMF’S图像子带编码的基础上,比较两种方案的结果,CFS法所获得的重建图象质量更加优良。而且这种方法不需QMF方法中的FFT型变换,运算结构简单,运算速度高,易于硬件实现。
This paper systematieally introduees a complex frequency shift (CFS) theory and its realization for subband coding of images. Subband coding of images is a new field of high quality compression coding. Two-dimensional quadrature mirror filters (QMF) can be used to split images into subbands, but its arithmatic structure is rather complex. This paper develops CFS, a new method for subband cobing of images, and proves CFS's feasibility and advantages theoretically and experementally. By comparison, the quality of reconstructed images by CFS is higher and its arithmatic structure is simpler, without the need of FFT type transformations as in QMF. This brings the CFS's filters to have the same modules and operate quickly, and be convenient to hardware realization.
