摘要
本文用复射线方法分析高斯波束从光密媒质入射到光疏媒质界面上时的反射。在全反射区域内,反射场应同时包括几何光学项和横向波贡献。当观察点接近波束轴线时,可用近轴近似法简化计算。但是,在临界角过渡内,上述分析方法失效,过渡区的大小和特性与“数值距离”这一参量有关。在过渡区内,必须采用复宗量抛物柱函数作为平滑过渡函数,以便校正反射场的奇异性。本文详细的数值分析确定了上述各种方法的有效范围。
The complex ray method is employed to analyze a Gaussian beam reflected at ,a plane interface from a denser medium into a thinner one. Besides the reflection by geometrical optics, a lateral wave contribution must be included for the region of total reflection.To simplify the calculation, a paraxial approximation is employed when the observer is located near the beam axis. However, the above-mentioned analytical methods all fail in the transition region which is determined by a parameter called 'numerical distance'. The uniform solution in the transition region is generated by means of a parabolic cylinder function with a complex argument. Detailed numerical comparisons assess the validity of various formulations.
