摘要
迄今为止,关于语言哲学还没有一个公认的明确界定。所以,在某些哲学家是否是语言哲学家的问题上,人们常有分歧。但在“弗雷格和罗素都是语言哲学家,并且是极具影响的语言哲学家”这点上是没有分歧的,在“摹状词理论是语言哲学的重要组成部分”这点上也是没有争议的。这种一致性在一定程度上可以看作是对现代逻辑在语言哲学中的作用的认可。因为弗雷格和罗素对摹状词的分析完全是建立在现代逻辑的基础上的,这是不容争辩的事实。这一事实充分证明,现代逻辑在语言哲学研究中确实担当着重要的角色,在某种意义上甚至可以说没有现代逻辑就没有语言哲学。
There has been no universally accepted definition about philosophy of language. So there are many different answers about the question who are truly philosophers in this field. But all agree that Frege and Russell are very important philosophers in this field and the theory of description is an essential part of philosophy of language. The agreement could be served as the approval on the position of modem logic in the field. No one can doubt that the analysis of description has been based on modem logic. This fact demonstrates that modem logic plays a very important role in philosophy of language. We even can say there would be no philosophy of language without modem logic.
