摘要
本文介绍了王灿晖教授对“证”的认识。王教授认为证是概括病变某一阶段的内在病理本质和外部客观表现的综合概念，证候的内在本质是产生证候各种临床表现的基本原因，证候的外部表现是分析其内在本质的客观依据。证候的形成和发展取决于病邪和正气两方面因素，病邪的性质、致病特点、入侵部位，正气的盛衰、体质的差异等对证候的表现、性质、轻重以及发展演变等具有直接的影响。每一证既有特定的病变重心，又可对全身各脏腑产生一定的影响，出现整体性的变化，同时随着病程的发展、病情的演变，证候也不断发生变化，从而表现出整体性和时相性的特点。
Prof. Wang Chanhui's understanding of a syndrome is introduced in this paper. He believes that a syndrome is the combined conception of the internal pathological nature and the external objective manifestations of a certain stage of a disorder.The pathological nature is the cause of all the manifestations, while the symptoms and signs are the basis on which the nature can be analyzed. The formation and development of a disorder are governed by both by the pathogen itself and by the body's resistance. Factors, such as the nature of the pathogen,methods of causing disease, the invasion location, the body's resistance, and constitutional differences, directly affect the manifestation, nature, severity, and development of a disorder.Each syndrome has its particular focal point of the disorder, but may affect other organs as well. That is why systemic symptoms and signs may appear. With the development of the disorder, symptoms and signs may change constantly. Therefore, a syndrome has two features:it occurs wholistically and also varies with the passage of time
