Mc. Hotdog' s songs, which are full of swearwords, were once a hit coming from Taiwan to the Mainland. The consumers of these songs are the youth, and young girls also play a very important role. Organization, exclusivity, and personality cult are the main characteristics of this group. Analyzed from the psychology and the texts of these songs, the inevitable reasons are found out for the popularity of the Mc. Hotdog' s songs in the society. As a youth sub - culture, Mc. Hotdog phenomenon has caused a general panic. However, it is difficult to prevent Mc. Hotdog' s songs from spreading. Mc. Hotdog' s songs filled with swearwords is a collective solution when the youth face social problems. However, in fact, it is an unsuccessful solution. Only by changing the youth' s social identity, strengthening the education on their media literacy, and taking other more active measures, can we reduce the negative influence from Mc. Hotdog's songs.
