摘要
文章以广州市的4家日报为例,采用量化分析的方式对我国当代城市报纸对“农民工”这个弱势社群的新闻报道进行了实证考察。分析的理论关注点主要集中在城市报纸是否为“农民工”这个弱势社群的公共表达提供了机会和空间?笔者尝试运用3个量化指标,力图勾画出我国当代城市报纸在“农民工”新闻报道上的总体现状,并揭示城市报纸为弱势社群提供公共表达的表现。在实证考察的基础上,评析了当前我国城市媒体在弱势社群新闻报道上的已有优势和不足,提出了在新闻常规实践中开拓弱势社群之公共表达的具体方式。
This study explores four dailies' coverage of the reports on PML (Peasant Migrant Labour), an emerging underprivileged group in Guangzhou. It focuses on whether the urban newspapers provide any public space for the group to express itself. By employing three indexes, this paper outlines the general situation of the reports on PML on the urban newspapers. Based upon the empirical findings, it also gives some suggestions on how to cultivate spaces for underprivileged groups to express themselves publicly via media.
