平面偏振光微小偏转角的精密测量 被引量:3

摘要 对一般的光路进行调制来测量微小偏转角的方法进行了改进.利用双重调制的方法,对平面偏振光的微小偏转角进行了精密的测量.这种方法利用两个磁光调制器分别对光路和信号本身进行调制,既有效增强了测量信号,又可消除由起偏器和检偏器引起的角度误差,抑制背景光对实验的影响.本实验系统的分辨率已达到2.73×10-8rad.分析了存在的主要噪声,给出了提高整个实验系统的分辨率可能采取的措施. The small rotation angle of a linear polarization light was precisely measured by double modulation. Classical experiment way to modulate the light path was improved. The double modulation method was used. Two magneto-optical modulators in the double modulation method were used to modulate the light path and the signal respectively. The design not only can increase the measuring signal effectively but also can eliminate the error introduced by misalignment angle between polarizer and analyzer. And it also can reduce the effect of background light. The sensitivity of the system is 2.73×10^-8 rad. Meanwhile, the primary noises in the experiment are analyzed, and the possible methods of improving the resolution of experimental system are proposed.
