摘要
宋元明清时期许多君主以各种方式重视、支持书院,对书院发展产生了巨大的推动作用。其动机和目的主要包括以下三个方面:一、弥补体制内教育系统的不足,满足人才培养需要;二、表明对儒学的尊崇以及对儒家所倡导、宣扬的伦理道德原则与治国理念的认同;三、通过支持书院而对书院产生影响或介入书院内部事务,从而影响书院的发展方向甚至改变书院的性质,最终将书院纳入官方的意识形态控制网络之中。
A number of the emperors in the Song, the Yuan, the Ming, and the Qing Dynasty tried every means to emphasize and support the attempt of running classics academies and played a great role in the growth of academies. These emperors were motivated mainly in the following three ways: 1 ) compensating for the shortage within national education system to meet with needs for training of professional workers; 2) expressing their worship for Cordueianism and acceptance of the ethic and moral principles and eoneeptions of government introduced by Confucian followers; 3) influencing the developing orientation and even the guideline of academies so as to lead them to the network of official ideology by financing academies and interfering with their inner affairs.
