摘要
福柯认为人文科学是权力和知识相结合的产物,作为人文科学中的翻译研究也不例外,也受着一定时期权力话语的控制,因为作为翻译的主体———译者来说,采取什么样的翻译策略总是受这一时期的权力话语的影响的。本文以《骆驼祥子》的两个英文译本为例来阐述不同国度不同历史时期的译者在翻译同一部文学作品时是如何在当时权力话语的影响下采用不同的翻译策略的,以揭示权力话语对翻译的制约。
Literature is the combination of power and knowledge and literature translation is no exception, which is controlled by power and discourse at a certain time. Therefore as the main body of translation translators use different strategies which are determined by the power and discourse of that time. This paper mainly compares the two English versions of Camel Xiangzi in order to analyze how the translators of different time and different countries use different strategies in translating the same novel under the influence of the power and discourse and further disclose the influence of power and discourse on translation.
