Objective To observe the properties of compound sodium hypochlorite disinfection solution for disinfection of instruments. Method Physicochemieal analysis method and carrier quantitative germicidal test were used to carry out laboratory observation. Results After storing the instrument disinfection solution containing available chlorine 10.90 g/L in original packing in 54℃ incubator for 14 days, its available chlorine decrease rate was 5.41% in average. Immersion in its stock solution for 72 h at room temperature did not corrode stainless steel and copper. The killing logarithm value of spores of Bacillus subtilis vat. niger on carrier exposed to the disinfection solution containing available chlorine 3300 mg/L for 7.5 min was 〉 3.0 and the spores were completely killed after exposure for 60 min. In simulated field trial of disinfection of medical instruments, immersion in the disinfection solution for 15 min killed B. subtilis vat. niger spores on the instruments by a logarithm of 〉 3.0 and immersion for 60 min completely killed the spores. After continuous use of the disinfection solution for 5 days, its germicidal efficacy did not decrease. Capacity test showed that the minimal eligible concentration of the disinfection solution for killing Staphylococcus aureus was available chlorine 2400 mg/L. Conclusion The instrument disinfection solution is stable, does not corrode copper and stainless steel and has good efficacy in killing bacterial spores.
