置身于20世纪80年代文化寻根热潮中的京味文学第二代作家对京味文学的兴起和鼎盛做出了决定性贡献,把老舍开创而有待于命名和发展的京味文学推向后人难以企及的美学高峰。王朔标志着京味文学第三代勃然兴起及京味文学被推举到商业热与美学热的双热巅峰,这时的京味文学无可挽回地以天鹅绝唱般辉煌方式走向终结。作为一种以品味故都流兴为集中标志的现代地域文学现象的京味文学终结了,但京味文学正以其第三代为界碑,在绝响中换味。
In her second generation, staying in cultural root-seeking, Beijing-flavour Literature has been pushed onto an aesthetic peak. Although Wang Shuo can be a symbol as the rise of her third generation, indicating that Beijing-flavour Literature had reached a peak in perspectives of both commercial and aesthetic, Beijing-flavour Literature is moving into the end with her last swansong. This aftereffect lies radically on transformation of contemporary cultural context and existent experience of Beijing residents where Beijing-flavour Literature lives in. Take the third generation as a mere stone, Beijing-flavour Literature is changing its flavour in the last swansong.
