摘要
本文提出一种采用光强度调制非线性外差检测的传输方案。分析表明,采用非线性外差检测,用谱线宽度为几十兆赫的单纵模DFB或DBR半导体激光器作为发射和接收本振光源,PSK和DPSK系统的误码性能比通常的外差PSK和DPSK光通信系统的理想(零谱线宽度)散弹噪声性能(极限)约差6dB。这种系统不需采用其它谱线窄化措施,性能比直接检测系统在码速100Mbit/s时改善约7~13dB,在1Gbit/s时改善约10~21dB。
This paper presents an optical communication system algorithm with intensity modulation and nonlinear heterodyne detection. The computational results show that optical communication system with nonlinear heterodyne detection using semiconductor lasers (such as DFB or DBR one) with linewidth of tens of MHz without line-narrowing provides performance inferior to that of coherent detection (zero linewidth) shot noise limit about 6dB, and superior to that of direct detection system about 7~13 dB at 100 Mbit/s and 10~21 dB at 1 Gbit/s.
