摘要
《教育与民众》是近代中国教育界介绍和引进西方成人教育制度和理论的一个重要媒介。对于当时世界各国成人教育发展状况、成人教育界较有影响的机关、人物及其著作,该刊或开辟专号集中发表,或请专人翻译连载,或作广告宣传,其主要目的是为国内民众教育的发展提供借镜。因此,注重西方成人教育制度在中国的转化成为该刊一个突出的特色。
Education and Masses is a significant journal in introducing western adult education in contemporary China. Columns are open in the journal on the worldwide progress, influential institutions, educationalist and books regarding adult education. In addition, there are extras, special columns, translations, and even ads to spread the concerned information. So this journal makes great contributions to make known the western education to Chinese public.
