Monomaceral separations were conducted successfully for 19 coal seam samples with different coalification degrees in three series by the density separation technique.Based on the experiments it is considered that the occurrence characteristics of monomacerals in coal and the coalification degree of coal are the main factors which have the influences on the monomaceral separation effect.
