LTO2制式磁头是一种用于服务器的磁带机上的数据记录磁头,为各向异性磁致电阻磁头(AMR),通过对磁头的关键参数进行设计,如磁致电阻材料NiFe和偏转磁场材料CoZrMo的厚度,以及它们与屏蔽层的距离,并优化这些参数的组合,获得了良好的性能,磁头的读写错误率(ErrorRate)、ViterbiDistanc(eVD)等关键测试参数均能满足要求。目前,该磁头已批量生产。
The LTO2 format heads are used for data storage in server, they are anisotropic magnetoresistive heads. The key parameters are designed and optimized, such as the thickness of NiFe,SAL（CoZrMo） and the distance between the shields and MR （NiFe,SAL）, a good design is obtained, error rate and Viterbi Distance can meet the requirements. Now, the heads are in mass production.
