The thesis introduces the characteristics, main service, and also the drawbacks of Internet. The autor has investigated the relationship between Dialog Information Service System and Internet; discussed the pros and cons of gratuitous and nongratuitous information sources; pointed out Dialog Information Service System′s weakness in the application for the new information era, along with the measures of improvement during the recentyears.
