摘要
文章阐述人类聚居环境理论研究的缘起及其思想蕴含，以及人类聚居环境学的基本概念思想、理论与技术；对所提出的人类聚居环境学理论-工程体系的核心层面：人类聚居环境的深层结构-场域理论，可持续发展的价值观念，以及CEQ（容量调查-质量控制-演化预测）工程，予以论述．并以国际上实施的3R（节约、再利用、循环）计划及CEQ工程为例，揭示了人类聚居环境学理论研究的实践意义．
With the background of su8tainable development, the studies on human inhabitation and settlement environment are introduced and discussed in this paper. Specifically, with a theory-engineering framework of human inhabitation and settlement envirorunent provided, the writer discusses the deep structure of these items, such as, the field theory, sustainable development: the value of human inhabitation settlement environment and the plan of 3R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle), as well as the CQE engineering (Capacity investigation - Quality control - Evolution Drediction)
