IN March 2005,Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province announced plans to construct an industrial corridor linking the cities of Harbin,Qiqihar and Daqing.This is the province's latest effort to revitalize its economy,which was once one of the most vibrant in the country.Almost two years after the blueprint was unveiled,China Today caught up with Li Zhanshu,deputy party secretary and executive vice governor of the province,to see what progress has been made.
