DNA can shape itself into many forms to achieve its significant purposes in life. Local structure of B-DNA would turn into Z-DNA as a result of transcription or other physiological processes, The peculiar B-DNA-Z-DNA-B-DNA structure, which has two B-Z junctions, is formed by breaking of one base pair at the junction and extrusion of the bases on each side. Discussing the formation of this structure is significant to understand the relationship between the structure and function of DNA, and it will also be helpful to realize profoundly the important role of Z-DNA.
