采用不同浓度的低分子量水溶性三聚氰胺-甲醛树脂溶液浸渍泡桐木材,并对其进行压缩。结果表明:浓度为6%的MF树脂处理的泡桐压缩木在室温水中几无回弹,而用25%的MF树脂处理的压缩木试样,即使在沸水中也很少回弹。而且,25%MF树脂处理的试样在压缩率为50%时,表面硬度可从0.122MPa增加到0.
Methods to maximize wood surface hardness and wood dimensional stability inc lude various combinations of compression, heating, and chemical treatments. In this study, paulownia wood was treated with different concentration of low molecular weight(mol wt 350~380), water soluble melamine formaldehyde resin, being compressed while heated. The results showed that wood specimen treated with 6% resin solution retained almost complete fixation when soaked in room temperature water, while those treated with 25% resin solution retained fixation in boiling water. Moreover, the surface hardness increased from 0.122 MPa to 0.366 MPa when the wood was treated with 25% resin solution and 50% compression.
