摘要
分析了TCP协议在无线环境下的缺陷,讨论了TCP/IP协议组用于无线链路时的性能问题,提出了一种基于ARQ的TCP代理确认的改进方案.该方案通过利用链路层ARQ反馈信息在无线链路两端生成代替性的TCP确认,并且在无线链路两端过滤原有的TCP确认来对TCP的无线性能进行改善,大大提高了链路的吞吐率,减少了时延,节省了大量的无线链路上行带宽,而且与无线链路层ARQ相结合,较好地提高了TCP协议在误码率较大的无线链路上的性能.通过仿真,本方案可以使无线环境下的TCP协议的时延减小45%,同时可使其流量最大提升42%.
The disadvantages of transport control protocol (TCP) under wireless environment were analyzed. The performances of TCP/IP used in wireless links were discussed. An improved agent acknowledgement is proposed based on automatic repeat request (ARQ) and TCP, in which the information of ARQ was used to create TCP acknowledgements and the original TCP acknowledgement was filtered at the both ends of wireless networks. The performances of wireless links in TCP are improved, for example, delays being reduced, throughputs increased and uplink bandwidth saved. Com- bined with ACQ of wireless links, the performance of TCP on high bit error rate (BER) wireless links is also reduced. The tests indicate that the delays can be decreased by 45 % and the throughput increased by 42 % in this algorithm.
