STRUCTURAL COMPARISON ALGORITHMS APPLIED IN BIOINFORMATICS

摘要 生物信息学中的结构比较在后基因时代中地位重要,在过去的十几年间,以蛋白质为主的结构比较算法研究取得了重大的进步。从几个方面对部分较重要和新近出现的算法进行了分析:以VAST与DALI算法为代表,阐述了全局与局部结构比较的情况;讨论了利用数学记号进行结构比较的算法;并简评了生物大分子表面结构比较的研究现状。 Structural comparison applied in bioinformatics, which is essential to the post-genomic era, has been making great progress in the past decades. Some important comparison algorithms and new development of that are discussed:VAST and DALI algorithms are expatiated as examples to demonstrate global and local structural comparison;the use of mathematic token in structural comparison is reviewed; and a brief discussion about the macromolecular surface comparison is given.
