摘要 本文简述了塔里木内陆盆地的产生和发展,着重讨论了晚新生代这一巨大内陆盆地干旱环境的形成和演变。文章中提出晚新生代塔里木盆地及周边山地出现一个相对湿润期(中新世)和两个干旱期(上新世、第四纪)的初步结论。同时阐述了该盆地现代干旱环境的主要特点。 The formation and evolution of the arid environment of Tarim Basin since the late Cenozoic can be concluded as the following: 1. The inland Tarim Basin was in a sealed surrounding in the late Miocene period. Since the mountains around the basin appeared to uplift extensively during the late Pliocene and the beginning of the early Pleistocene, Tarim Basin has become a typical landlocked basin. 2. The arid environment of Tarim Basin began to appear in the late Cretaceous. Although there existed relatively humid stages, the general climate trend has turned dry since then. After Pliocene period the Tarim Basin has been completely under the control of arid environment with the trend of the later, the drier. 3. There had appeared one comparatively humid period (Miocene) and two arid ones (Pliocene and Quaternary) since the late Tertiary with some stages of climatic variation in Quaternary period.
