本文概述了新型超硬材料氮化碳（β－Ｃ３Ｎ４）的提出、发现及物化性质，目前国内外研究最新进展和它的应用前景。
The proposition, discovery and physical and chemical properties of the new type superhard material-carbon rnitride (β-C3N4 ) are summarized. It's recent research advance. at home and abroad and future applications are reported.
