摘要
调查研究表明,河狸在我国仅分布于新疆阿尔泰地区。河狸一般以家族为单位,在河岸边挖掘洞穴或洞巢居住。全年食物主要为杨柳枝条。性成熟年龄为2.5岁,孕期100～110天,产仔期主要集中于5月上旬至6月上旬。河狸必须经过诱导方能配对饲养。饲料除杨柳枝条外,冬季要添加多汁饲料及精料。
Beavers were distributed in.Artai of Xinjiang. They mainly lived in dens in the banks along the river in a colony. The key foods of beavers were willows. Beavers didn' t breed untill the third mating season following birth. Mating generally occured in January and February, and the pregnancy length was 100 - 110 days. The number of young per litter was about 2 in captivity. Beavers were breeded paifwise in a pen consisting of a pool, a feeding platform, arid a nest with 2 rooms. Besides twigs of willows, carrot and concentrated feed such as corn-meal and cake-meal must be supplied in winter in the feeding of beavers.
