Effect of Encapsulation of Aluminum Pigment Powders by In-Situ Polymerization of Acrylic Acid on Corrosion Resistance

摘要 为了提高铝颜料的耐腐蚀性能,通过原位聚合的方法在颜料铝粉表面进行了丙烯酸聚合包覆,研究了包覆程度对颜料铝粉耐腐蚀性能与光泽度的影响,获得了原位聚合的最佳条件为反应温度98℃,反应时间1h,引发剂过硫酸铵用量1.0g,异丙醇用量为2.0g。采用红外光谱(IR)、光学显微镜、扫描电镜(SEM)、粒度分析等手段对包覆样品进行了分析与表征,结果表明,当包覆程度为10%时,包覆产品同时具有较好的耐腐蚀性能和光泽度。通过在颜料铝粉表面进行丙烯酸原位聚合,可有效地提高其耐腐蚀性能。 Aluminum pigment powders were encapsulated by in-situ polymerization of acrylic acid so as to improve the corrosion resistance. The resulting encapsulated samples were characterized by means of infrared spectroscopy, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and granularity analysis. The influence of the encapsulation extent on the corrosion resistance and luster of the aluminum pigment powders was investigated. It was found that the corrosion resistance of the aluminum pigment powders could be effectively improved by encapsulation with in-situ polymerization of acrylic acid. The optimum condition for the in-situ polymerization was determined as temperature of 98 ℃, time of 1.0 h, initiator amount of 1.0 g, and isopropanol amount of 2.0 g. In particular, the aluminum pigment powders with an encapsulation extent of 10% had good corrosion resistance and luster.
