摘要
以乙二醇单烯丙基醚、对羟基苯甲酸乙酯和联苯二酚为原料,经磺酰化、酯化以及酰氯化合成了对苯二烯丙氧基乙氧基苯甲酸联苯二酚酯液晶化合物,并进行了均聚反应;表征了液晶单体及其均聚物的化学结构,并研究了其熔融和相行为。结果表明,该液晶单体的熔点为149℃,在135℃出现一个晶型转变,在320℃并保持5min后变为各向同性,但已开始分解。该化合物为近晶型液晶,其均聚物的熔点也为149℃,但在分解之前没有出现清亮点,且同样以近晶型液晶为主体。
Novel thermotropic liquid crystalline monomer of p-biphenyl di-4- [ 2- ( allyloxy ethoxy) benzoate ] (p-BAEB) and poly (p-BAEB) were synthesized from allyl 2-hydroxyethylether, ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate and 4, 4,-dihydroxybiphenyl. The chemical structures of p-BAEB and poly(p-BAEB) were characterized by FTIR and ^1H NMR.The liquid crystalline behavior was studied by POM, DSC, and XRD.The results showed that the melting point of monomer p-BAEB was 149℃, and when it was heated for 5 min at 320 ℃ the liquid crystalline phase transformed to isotropic phase and began to decompose at this moment. The results of POM and XRD showed that monomer p-BAEB was smectic texture and the homopolymer poly(p-BAEB) was smectic texture too. Its melting point was also 149 ℃ and had not isotropic phase before decomposed.
