胸部电脑断层摄影在下列情况对肺结核病的诊治有重大的贡献：①侦测空洞的存在。②侦测结核瘤的钙化病灶。③侦测纵隔腔和腋下淋巴腺病变，④侦测肋膜病变。⑤侦测肺结核在胸腔内的并发症。⑥肺结核病人咳血的评估。⑦侦测支气管内结核的病变。⑧外科治疗前的评估。⑨侦测粟粒性肺结核。
The plain chest film and sputum examination for tubercle bacilli are the major diagnostic methods for pulmonary tuberculosis. But in some conditions, chest CT may play an important role. The indications for CT are①detection of cavitation.②detection of calcification in tuberculoma.③detection of axillar or mediastinal adenopathy.④detection of tuberculous pleurisy.⑤investigation of intrathoracic tuberculous complicatoins,⑥investigatoin of hemoptysis.⑦detection of endobronchial involvement of tuberculosis.⑧pre-operative evaluation of pulmonary tuberculous, and ⑨detection of miliary tuberculosis.
