摘要
本文简要介绍了联合国制定的“国际减轻自然灾害十年”的宗旨和目标,对其主要精神和内容进行了分析,进而结合当前国际上地震工程研究的发展趋势和近年来城市大地震的震害经验,对我国地震工程的研究方向和任务提出了一些看法。
A brief description of the objectives and goals of the International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR) is presented. In the paper, the essential principles of the Dacade are summarized as the first three English Letters i.e.'A', 'B', 'C'. In further consideration of the new finds worked out from recent seismic damages happened to the metropolises and latest trends of earthquake engineering research in the world, several issues on the development of earthquake engineering studies in China are recommended .
