摘要
根据《辞海》对“学者”的释义,认为“编辑”与“学者”两者关系不是同一关系,而是从属关系,“编辑”是“主,”“学者”是“从”。分析编辑的学者素质的特征:编辑应当比一般学者更具有学术的品格,更善于跳出具体课题的解析,而去把握学术问题的发展史,更善于比较一组相邻但不同学科论著的得失高下。
According to Cihai （ A Sea of Chinese Characters and Expressions）, the relation between ＂editor＂ and ＂ scholar＂ is subordinate rather than identical, in which ＂editor＂ predominates over ＂ scholar＂ . The characteristics of scholarship that editors possess are as follows： editors are supposed to be more scholarly; good at learning about development of academic issues rather than being restricted in the analysis of particular subject; and good at making judgments of a piece of work..
