摘要
电影如梦是个常见的比喻,它利用了梦的广泛性在一定程度上说明了电影的特性,即电影影像的形象展示性,观念的直接呈现性,流动画面和叙事情境的现在时效果,时空表达的自由性,观众对银幕内容的介入,银幕内容是达成观众愿望的中介,观众对银幕内容的被动性,银幕内容是象征本体、具有表层意义和隐藏意义。诚然,在众多的情形中电影的有意性和梦的紊乱性不可同日而语,电影的技术性、产业化等特性不是电影如梦所能喻明的。
'Movies are like dreams' is a common simile.By comparing movies to dreams,it reveals some characteristics of the former as follows: the vividness of movie images,the audience's immediate exposure to storylines,the expression unencumbered by time or space,audience as passive lookers of movies,and the denotation and connotation of the movies.On most occasions,however,the intentionally planned storyline of movies is distinct from the disordered images of dreams.Besides,such characteristics of movies as high technology and industrialization are not indicated by the metaphor.
