摘要
一个国家可以通过对技术研发的投入或对新技术的采用,以获得经济的长期增长。要使经济增长遵循最优路径,则取决于所采用的技术是否适合该采用国的要素禀赋,以及所采用的技术水平是否随着采用国要素禀赋的演进而不断升级。拉美和东亚国家在相同经济基础下经过30多年发展后的不同经济绩效,很好地证明了适宜技术和技术升级对经济最优增长的重要性。对于中国而言,其经济的后续健康、快速发展,有赖于通过自主创新之一途径对原有适宜技术的动态升级。
A country can achieve long-term economic growths by investing in researching and developing or adopting new technology. However, whether its economic development can follow an optimal growth path depends on whether the technology it adopts is appropriate to its endowment and whether the adopted technology is continuously upgraded along with the evolvement of the adopting country＇ s endowment. Tile different economic performances after over 30 years of development between Latin America and East Asia, which had an equal economic basis originally, bears out the importance of appropriate technology and technological upgrading to optimal economic growths. It follows that China＇s continuing, healthy, and rapid economic development depends on a constant upgrading of its technologies through independence and innovation.
